MSHDA Program
$10,000 Down Payment Assistance Michigan
The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) is expanding its Down Payment Assistance Program across the entire state of Michigan. This initiative is designed to help low- and middle-income homebuyers overcome one of the biggest barriers to homeownership—the down payment. By broadening access statewide, MSHDA aims to make purchasing a home more achievable for Michigan residents who are ready to take the next step toward owning a home.
UP TO $10,000 IN DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE IN MICHIGAN
The MSHDA Down Payment Assistance Program helps Michigan residents achieve affordable homeownership. Eligible first-time and repeat buyers can receive up to $10,000 toward down payment costs on homes within MSHDA’s price limits. Designed for low- to moderate-income households, this program reduces upfront expenses, keeps mortgage payments manageable, and provides a pathway to long-term financial stability through homeownership.
